i noticed about a week or so ago that sometimes when i am braking i get a pretty good shake in the steering wheel. it doesnt do it all the time, so i dont think that it is the rotors. could something be worn. it is a 4.0 tj with 2" spring spacers

no i didn't  , but it was working fine for over a year. i didnt notice any strange tire wear or anything. i am taking it to the stealership soon to get the pinion seal replaced. i will have them take a look at the alignment

RE: leroy goes nuts...

Rotors could be slightly warped. Tires could also be out of balance.

Besides that, check for warn joints, etc....

Could also be worn bushings in the control arms, or a loose/worn front track bar. Possibilities are nearly endless with coil spring suspensions.
