Coil spring conversion in YJ

Can any one send me some pics or a link to this swap? I have a 78 Ford and am in process of pulling the axles out and putting them under my 90 model YJ. I'm considering using the coil spring setup in my jeep, but I'm curious as whether any one else has done and if so what kind of advice they could offer.

There are 2 kits out there. Pro Comp, which is a fully bolt-on type kit and uses regular coil springs similar to a TJ, and Black Diamond which is the more expensive of the two. BD's kit will require a good bit of welding and uses coilovers but will flex like crazy. Your other option is to build/fab it yourself which is going to be quite the task.

Personally I'd just go with a spring over leaf sprung setup on a YJ.

I'm all for the spring over. But I'd give 1000 cool points to anyone who fabs up their own coil conversion for a YJ

Coil springs....YES!!!! Round headlight.........maybe :shock: TJ dash.............NO!!!!!! :evil: Sounds like a very interesting project....keep us posted!
