Annoying Turn signal

Once in a while my drivers side turn signal goes solid when i hit the brakes and goes off when I let off... This leads me to that there is a short some where. but as soon as I put slight pressure on the Turn signal handle it goes away and poof fixed. I have my 00 TJ sport

Could be a faulty contact in your turn signal switch. But is often that the guys at the factory, get sloppy, with the grease they put in with the bulbs. When the grease gets on the contact points on the back of the bulb, it can cause the current to ground in strange ways. A spray degreaser (brake cleaner or contact cleaner) used in the bulb holder and on the bulb, often alleviates intermittant problems. And it´s always good to check the easy stuff before tearing apart the steering column. Sometimes a bulb will work and sometimes not, this is often due to heat and will also cause intermittant problems. Eventually the bulb will fail completely.[addsig]
