broken transmission casing

i was putting my jeep back together today and i ended up braking the casing on the transmission where it mounts to the skid plate, i tore my other transmission apart to swap casings but now i cant get the end piece back on, the bearing on the output shaft doesent want to slide in properly, i thought about heating it up but after i took a good look at it i realized that the bearing is held together with plastic.
anyone know how to get it back on?
