some of you may have read my other post. well i have been searching local ads and have come up with a bunch of motors that seem nice. the best so far in my budget is a 258 out of an 83 amc egal. the owner bought it to install into his egal but has since desided on a v8 swap. so once he pulls the old motor he will be putting this one in so i can hear it run and make sure it is not a smoker ticker or knocker andso we can compression test it. HE wants 150 for it and would throw in all emissions and ac ps pump ect. it is also a comp controlled carb. i figured i could sell off any left over parts on ebay and then make back some money. will it work with the89 jeep? emissions is important in my state. ALso i am just exploring options i have not made a desission on a jeep yet just looking at my options. thanks alot!!!!!!!!
