Does anyone know of a decent non-restoration build up of a CJ2a...just looking to build a mild wheeler.....maybe streetable...

Everything I find seems to be a frame off restoration. My CJ is well past being restorable, so just weighing my options...don't want to scrap it, and there's not much worth parting....so figured I would looking making it a wheeler.

check out pirate 4x4, sure there have been a couple built over there. first I would look in the regular jeep section, then try the hardcore, depends on how far you want to go.

Put about a 3" lift on, with the biggest tires you can fit underneath it, weld the rear axle, and go wheeling. If the engine needs to be replaced, look for another 4cyl to swap in (or at most a 6), so that you don't abuse the rest of your driveline. The transmission and xfer case should be fine.
