how high is a stock yj from the ground to the bottom of the frame??? I have 2 1/2" shackles but want to know how much my springs have sagged. also, how big of a tire could i run on this small of a lift?? I have stock wheels from a later model jeep. if someone could tell me how to post pics i would be more than happy to do so.

2.5" shackles will only provide 1.25" of lift as the change in height at the axle is half the change in shackle length. 30" or 31" tires are the largest you can run, may get some rubbage with 31"s but it won't hurt anything.

Factoring in age of the springs, the amount of fatigue from different types of use, the vehicle options, and accessories on the Jeep all will be a factor and stock height can vary greatly.

I'm just assuming that the other guy took a measurement off a standard equipped brand new jeep. But I see your point.
