unclebill New member Apr 19, 2009 #1 i rebuilt the carter YF938SD today. i found there is no room in the carb for parts 37 and 36. the hole is smaller than the ball bearing. and parts 35 and 34 were missing from the carb when i took it apart. are those parts missing on purpose because it is a model SD?

J jps4jeep Super Moderator Apr 20, 2009 #2 those parts were probably missing because who ever rebuilt it last, didn't put them in. those ball bearings look to be part of the intake on the accelerator pump, but I can't see it all that well. I don't know why they don't fit.

unclebill New member Apr 20, 2009 #3 my FSM as well as the HAYNES and CLIFTONS all say some carter models dont use certain parts.
