HEI or TFI

What would be my best bet... HEI or TFI The one wire HEI has 50,000 volts and the TFI is 30,000 volts with more connections to get corroded and or go bad. I am asking what one is used most, any pros or cons going to buy one in the next day or two. Thanks

The HEI is more common, it is a more simple system as you mentioned. Are you sure the TFI is only 30,000 volts? I could have sworn it was more than the HEI. Either way, I have used both and I didn't notice a difference between the two, I would just go with the HEI.

I use the HEI. Great upgrade, simple and reliable.. Just make sure you check the shaft endplay to the gear. I ended up chewing up 2 sets of the camshaft gears after the swap till i finally tried to find the root cause and found that the gear was walking up and down too much. Haven't had any issues since.
