Honestly, and this question gets posted all the time... you can drive a jeep with 35" tires and stock gearing and axles with out issue. Yes it will cause premature wear to the clutch due to the amount of slippage needed to get going from a stop. and yes, you won't be winning any races, but seriously, if you want to go fast buy a sports car. I know many people that drove jeeps with tired old 4cyl and 35" tires regularly, both on street and trail.
