steering stabilizer

im installing a steering stabilizer in my 1974 cj5 but im having a hard time getting both of the bushings on. any tips on how to get both the bushings on? they aren't as squishy as they look.lol

soak in hot soapy water to soften them up some or use wd40 or pb to lub them to make them slip on easier

I use white litheum grease. I grease both the bushing and the shock really good, then I put the bushing on a piece of wood, place the shock over it and one good wack dead straight with a rubber mallet pops them in every time.
