Vehicle vibrates at 45mph, its not the steering, it seem to be coming from from the mid point of the vehicle.

thanks, should i change both or just the one to the back?By the way,it's 89 YJ and the vibration happens in 2WD.

check them first see if theres any play in them , and if you change 1 might as well do both cause other 1 prob not far behind anyway of going out

NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU GREASE THEM GOOD AFTER INSTALLING

also check motor mounts and trans mounts could also be a busted mount

If you just lifted it, and then this started...check your pinion angle in the rear.

Otherwise ya probably u-joints. If one's bad, go ahead and replace both.

The very first thing I would check would be the tires. I can't begin to tell you how many vibrating issues I've had that were cause by the tires......out of balance, worn out, etc., etc. Cheapest (?), easiest thing to check and no matter how many other parts you swap out, if your tires aren't right, it ain't gonna help. Just a thought......

I have since changed the u joints for the front and rear shaft. Problem solved, thanks to all.
