97 Wrangler sputtering at 30mph

I have a 97 Wrangler 4cyl manual with 150k miles that has just started sputtering when I hit 30mph. It didn't start doing this until I replaced the power steering pressure switch that was causing the check engine light to come on. After replacing the switch, I disconnected the battery to reset the check engine light. After that, it sputters and stalls starting at 30mph. If I floor it past 30mph, it trys to sputter as soon as I let off the gas. I have no idea why changing the power steering sensor would cause this. I'm thinking that it has something to do with reseting the check engine light? I would be thankful for any help that is offered.

I hate it when that happens. Fix something thats broke and create another issue. Unplug the switch and see if the condition changes. Also, with the key on, engine off, step on the throttle slowly all the way to the floor and let it go slow. Start the engine and see if the condition still exist.
