Is the airbag computer (ACM) waterproof?

Does anyone know how well protected the airbag computer is? I've hosed mine a few times but started being more careful after reading about airbag horror stories. Has anyone submarined theirs? Does anyone else hose out their TJ and spray the computer? It's prime hose-out-the-Jeep weather (get all the salt out) - Thank You -John

It's water resistant but not water proof. The terminal connectors has a rubber seal to protect the pins and contacts from moisture but not from direct water spray or submerging. Salt water will definitely eat up not just the terminals but also the aluminum enclosure of the ACM.

Thanks for the reply, Mikey... I guess I should be more careful with the hose. I might consider greasing the connector someday... - John

Dielectric grease will help a lot from weather intrusions.
