a/c fan stops when accelerating

Have a 97 Wrangler, a/c fan always stops when I accelerate, like the old vacuum wipers did on the old cars. Anyone have this issue? Is there anyway to cure it? I did look for vacuum hoses and unkinked one by the throttle body, but it still stops on acceleration.

Check for a small leak in the vacuum lines and fittings. If there's a vacuum reservoir, make sure it's getting sufficient vacuum from there. Also, on the vacuum lines for the a/c actuators, look for a one way valve. Check it and make sure it's good.

Sorry took so long to get back, have been busy. Replaced the vacuum line from the intake on and checked the control lines under the dash. Under dash looks good, but have not found the 1 way valve. It seems to affect the defrost more than the others only on acceleration. I will keep looking.

Thanks

The one way valve is usually on the vacuum line by the firewall in the engine compartment. If it's not by the firewall, check by the supply nipple on the intake manifold.
