has anyone put a ford 351w/c6/205 combo in a yj? i have all that stuff and i was/am a ford guy (jeep now) but it seems like it might be a little too long. i also have a '76 ford dana 44 front end and a '84 14 bolt rear i would like to put in also. i want to keep the leaf springs too. any suggestions?

I never have but I have a bronco w a 351 and wow it's a runner so do it

I had a buddy put a 400 Ford motor into an 87 yj. Other than new motor and transmission mounts it went in just fine. A little cutting was needed for the Ford shifter to fit though.

the entire drivetrain is probably shorter than a 4.2/4.0 auto drivetrain.

Toss it in, as for the axles, depends what you have. 76 1/2 ton D44 or 3/4 ton dana 44? also is the 14 bolt full floating 8 lug, semi floating 8 lug or semi floating 6 lug?

yea those 351w run good. thanks for the info i think ill do it. jps4jeep i have a 1/2 ton 5 lug front and 8 lug full floater rear. the different rims dont bother me i ran my 83 f150 like that forever
