How can I figure out my vin?

I have two numbers, the first is the serial #23319. The second is the block #806279 W-12 D AR. I am pretty sure it is a 1956?

Thanx phill, the info you sent was very helpfull. I now know I own a '55 cj-5. I'm still trying to determine if the serial # was the vin or if there were other numbers and letters that went along with it?

According to the VIN decoders in the links I've listed, a serial number of 57548 (almost smack middle in the span between serial numbers 45923 through 68815) would indicate a 1957 CJ5. Yes?

'55 CJ5's carried the serial numbers from 10001 through 27006.

Making his full VIN 57548-23319
I agree 1955 serial #s ran from 10001 to 27006 which 23319 fits comfortably between.
