ok so i just finished replaceing the rear main seal and the oil pan gasket on my jeep (89 wrangler 4.2) and it is still leaking.now it is leaking even worse then before i was carefull not to damage any of the seals or any thing. i finished it up put in new oil and a new filter started up and it just started running down the bell houseing does anyone have any idea why it could be doing this or what i could do to fix it?

head gasket maybe? or intake manifold. im assuming it's fuel injected right?

Double check the oil pan gasket on the rear of the oil pan, they sometimes slip off sideways and would cause a major leak. Clean off any residual leak behind the cylinder head and all the way down to the bell housing area where the suspected leak is. Use a small LED flashlight to isolate the leak. If it's as bad as it sounds, you should be able to isolate the source of the leak quickly.
