TJ wont start

05 TJ 4.0 won't turn over just keeps clicking rapidly. Replaced started and battery still no change. Any ideas?

Try turning engine over with a ratchet. Make sure it's not siezed. Try to pull start it if it's a manual. Could be a bad cable. Or connection. Or a internal engine failure lots could be.

Yes tried boosting. No luck. Motor not locked. Pins wet.

Comp plugs were full of water. The green and orange mainly. Any idea if that could be a prob or what they do.

could be a bad starter bad battery or the cables i would clean all connections first and it you have these kind of connectors get rid of them!

The four big ones that plug into the PCM on the firewall.

Thanks for the input guys. It was hydro locked. I've officially had my first lesson in underwater jeeping. Time to start looking for other air intake options.

Yes I did. And I tried to do it really fast. Bad idea.

I got her fixed. A starter and plugs later I'm up and running.

So it wasn't to major. My friend did that to his tacoma and he needed a new engine

Yup, very lucky on that deal. Fast and water usually bends stuff inside the block
