First of many questions...

Starting to work on my 1985 CJ7 and have no clue what this part is (new to the whole working on vehicle myself thing). I have the Haynes manual but don't see this part in any diagrams. Looks like one of the prongs has broken off and the plug is there with the remains in it. The CJ runs so I presume this is nothing critical but want to make sure everything that needs to be hooked up/connected/plugged in/etc.. is.

The dome shaped unit is the pressure sending unit for your oil pressure gauge on the dash panel. The 2 prong unit is a normally open oil pressure switch which was typically used for the electric choke although it can be used for many different applications. It closes when 3-5 psi of oil pressure is reached, so it can be wired in for a lot of things (from the factory in 85 it was just the choke and the ECM if I not mistaken).
