transfer case shifter linkage

I have a 4.0 L. automatic TJ and I took my skid plate off and everything dropped down. that caused the 4wd shifter linkage where it connects to the body disconnected; how do I get the old one back in place or should I replace it, because I'm pretty sure its bent?

The bell crank (horizontal bar between body bracket and transfer case bracket) simply slips into the plastic bushings in the brackets.

There are better designs out there to eliminate the body side of the bracket, as well as cable shifters. Good upgrades.

I switched to the Tera-Flex Transfer case linkage, it attaches to the transfer case and not the body. Never popped out of gear again.
