Converting from softop to hardtop

I've got a line on a hardtop for under $300. It's alittle beat up, but looks OK overall. It's from a TJ, but I'm not sure of the year. I've got a few questions:

1. Are all TJ hardtops the same? I know there were subtle changes in the softop in 03.
2. Will I need to do any hardware for the top, or do I just bolt the top on with 6 (8?) bolts, and the two windshield clips?
3. There's a crack in the fiberglass on the back, 4 inches from the hinge, probably from the sides flexing when it was off. Any tips on fixing this, or just apply bondo and sand away?

Not sure on the small changes, regarding q1

just the bolts along the tub and the top clips, q2

you can use bondo or fiberglass resin. Yes, apply and sand, q3

I just put a hard top on my 2002 TJ. Six bolts and the front hooks and it was attached. I had to run a bead of black silicone
along the front lip for wind noise. Also the hook up for the windshield wiper/light/deicer was different and i have to make a
wiring harness for those. just another day in the life of a jeep owner.
