86 cherokee brake lights dont work but everything else does

My 86 jeep cherokee running lights headlights and turn signals all work great but my break lights don't work at all. Nor do my hazzards. I replaced the break light switch as well as the fuse and it made no difference. Where do I go from here? I have corrosion in my fuse box and I believe that as the reason my battery light is on because it's a brand new battery and altonator and there's plenty of power. I have tried to locate a new fuse box but they seem impossible to find.

I will see if I have a 86 wiring dia... time permitting.

BUT did you do BASICS?
is there 12v at brake switch?
Will the HI mount brake light operate? We did have them in 86
Do you have a trailer plug- often a problem there with wiring.

If your hazards are on top of the column. Push the switch like 15-20 times. They have the tendency to load up with dirt or corrosion.
