1. Torque for heavy duty tierod ends for 1 1/16 castle nut

    Hello, I can't seem to find what the torque should be for a 1 1/16 castle nut for tie rod ends for heavy duty suspention. Thank you!!

    I think the torque is in the neighborhood of 40lbs although I'm more apt to tighten it by feel than bring out the torque ratchet.

    It depends.
    What vehicle and HD tre?

    55-65ft-lb depending.

    There is too tight. If you tighten too much you change the cone shape the contact points have resulting in bottoming out and loose tre’s
