Striker bracket issue Jeep YJ

Hello! New Jeep YJ owner here (1988 ) and trying to start off with some of the simple things. (At least I thought so)

I have the original strikers for both doors and just purchased the correct torx screws for them, but ran into an issue....

It appears that the panel that the striker brackets attach to are missing. I have watched a few videos and seen what it should look like, but the only metal behind is the body metal itself and no holes for the 4 torx screws. Attached are couple pictures and I would appreciate any information on where to find the panels I am missing and/or ideas on how to attach these without.

Yes! The picture on the right the panel that the striker bracket attaches to is what I am missing on both sides. Any idea what this part is called or where to find one other than a junkyard?
