Hi everyone... Here is my question... How wide do my wheels have to be for a set of 31 x 10.5 x 15 tires to NOT rub.?
... Or should I say...i have a stock (no front end work) 1999 Tj ....what is the offset (I hope I used the correct word) to keep a set of 31 x 10.5 x 15 inch tires from rubbing.
.. Other info.. Im putting a 4 inch lift on . 4inch springs and shocks. I DO NOT want to run wheel spacers on my vehicle.

Thanks for any information you may be able to supply me with

Standard stock rim are usually 8 inches.
To properly mount a 31x10.5r15 you need a wheel 7”-9” wide. The 7 in will create a slightly taller tire and/or may require to run less pressure to have the all threads touch ground.
9 inches may require a bit more pressure to not run on edges only.

On a stock rim you should not rub. I didn’t rub until 33x10.5r15 on stock. At 33x9.5r15 no rubbing stop to stop.

Now if you change the backspacing on the wheel you may run into issues at x in on backspacing with 31x10.5R15

Are you sure on the 31x20.5 with a 4 in lift?

And rubbing you mean the control arms or are you looking at full articulation. Rock Crawling???
