Leaking blue rubber gasket on oil pan

Hello. I have a 1980 CJ5 Renegade with the 258 engine. It has the blue one piece gasket. I can see a film of oil collecting on the gasket by the front of the motor, by the fan pulley. It is not dripping down, but I can run my finger by the oil pan gasket and I noticed a thin film of oil. Should I check to see if oil pan bolts are loose?

I don't see any danger in cinching down the pan bolts. They likely torque in the pound-inch range, so look up the torque spec and use a torque wrench if possible.

^^ Agree. ^^
Good advice on going to torque spec.
Id also make sure it is oil and not anything else.
Then be sure its not leaking elsewhere, then dripping down the engine and collecting at the gasket .

I used to have a cherokee that the oil pan bolts didn't like to stay tight so I'd check/snug them up with each oil change.

Thanks. My stepson said just tighten bolts, then re-torque them. Especially since the oil pan and rubber gasket is new.
