Brake upgrade?


Nobody else seemed to have na answer for you, so I´ll drop my two cents in.
I just upgraded my 88 XJ vacume booster to a 95 XJ dual diaphram model. Really makes a difference.
The hardest parts, where finding a booster with the right arm length and on some years the mount sat at an angle, the firewall was formed to level them out. May need an angled shim or spacer.
Bending the new brake lines was a pain, they are short and tight.
You´ll probably have to have a new proportioning valve also, I don´t remember exactly when the CJ´s, changed from a single piston master cylinder, to a dual stage, but I believe you have the single. The front brakes and back, with the dual stage, have to be plumbed seperatly.
