HEATER FUSE KEEPS BLOWING

I have no heat in the jeep and I keep blowing the fuse when I replace it. Sometimes the heater blower will work for a little bit and then the fuse blows so I know that the motor still functions. I know it is electrical because I had fog light connection troubles and now this. What should I do before taking it to an auto electrician?

What kind of Jeep do you drive. If it is a CJ look on the fire wall side and see where the fan motor is exposed. There is one wire "hot" that hooks up. As time goes the elements wear at the insulation on the conector and or wire look ther first for a short. Black tape or silicon clulk will fix this problem. The hearter blower motor has a hole in it spray a little electrial contact cleaner in there and the a little non-conductive lube and seal the hole off with a piece of good duct tape.

Any how that is amy 2 cents worth. Welcome to the boards and hope to see you around. Let us know a bit more about you and your Jeep so we can be of more service to you. tug
