I have narrow track axles now, on my79cj, with 3.73 gears amc 20, dana 30. wanting to find some wide track.

Can anyone confirm an axle question? seems that I read some where that an axle housing that has a 273? gear was a special made housing and will not accept any lower gears as in 373,411 etc.

The jeep has no lift and stock shackles, springs. I hope to upgrade the shackles sometime soon.

the tires are good year wrangler. I would say it's an agressive tire tread.

i have rebuilt the old carb and it doesnt work very well. I am wondering whata good carb replacement may be? i have read the carter isnt very good on these. some people say motor craft 2100? not sure which route to go.
