    4WD manual lock

RE: Best TJ gas mileage ever! Turns out it wasn't the "axel shift motor" after all. I did the manual lever and got everything put back together. Cleaned it up a lot, started the jeep and put it into 4wd. The light came on and it went into 4wd. The lever popped out on the dash and when I took it...

    4WD manual lock

Re: RE: Re: RE: Differential Questions It is called an axel shift motor in my chiltons repair manual. It is actually just a diaphram that actuates the fork that moves the locking collar onto the splines of the axel. When you are not getting enough vacuum(4 to 6 psi I believe) the fork will not...

    4WD manual lock

RE: Touching tribute to the armed forces, and families Do any of you know where to get an inexpensive manual 4WD locking part for a 90 YJ. I am guessing I don't have enough vacum pressure to engage my front axel. It was popping for a while, now it won't engage. I have taken it apart and...

    Help me make a bumper

I am making mine out of 2" X 3" X 1/4" steel and welding each end with 6 passes to seal it. It's going to be a double tube with a grill guard and be an onboard air tank also. It will have 2.9 gallons of volume and will allow for the use of air tools on the trail.

    Major rebuild

I forgot to add I'm making bumpers--2" X 3" steel double tube to act as my on-board air tanks also, 2.9 gal volume of air with all the connections to run air tools on the trail and a winch to be installed later.

    Major rebuild

Hey guys, I'm asking for a little help. I just aquired an 88 Cherokee. It has been rolled but has a rebuilt 4.0, trans and transfer case. I'm thinking about putting the motor trans and transfer case in my 90 YJ. Also the axels on the 88 has spring perches on the top of them. Will they work for...

    blower motor

I did the Rhino line on my tub myself and it turned out great. I had a little surface rust under the driverside carpet from snow off my boots. got that removed and the liner went on like it was supposed to. Total cost was about $60. I missed a cable hook up on the defrost/heat. Hooked it up and...

    blower motor

I finally got time to replace me heater blower. It has taken me about 8 hours so far but I'm just about done. The blower works awesome but I have no difference between the heat and defrost. Part of what took so long was I broke an air conditioner line. It was leaking slow so I got in and took...

    new yj heat mod

Long start??? I may be wrong here but it sounds to me like he's still getting outside air but just redirecting the air past the vent at the feet. I have a buddy who put a scoop cowl at the base of the windshield which allowed more air to flow down to the heater core. I'll see if I can get a...
