    New XJ project, need help

That's pretty nice and quick. Sorry it took me a bit to click in there. What year of Cherokee's could I find it in? Or was it an option through-out production?

    New XJ project, need help

...I knew that... Guess Im getting forgetful . The 8.25 requires new perches, right? Also would require wheel spacers too? It's a tough call. If I can get the 35 to last, I wouldnt mind it. But the 8.25 is already stronger but takes a little more time to get back under the jeep...

    New XJ project, need help

So if anything, I should stick with the front... just throw in a locker or something? And for the rear find the axle out of a say '90 or '88 or something older like that? And as well put in a locker? Now, if I get the older axle, the axle shafts from a new one with abs, those will still work...

    New XJ project, need help

Ah, I did not know that about the XJ's. I know the newer ones had a big spline. My main concern is the whole C-clip with the D30's. If I go the route of axles off new XJ's, should I worry about the C-clips? And thanks Bounty Hunter. I guess I was trying to save myself some cash... but it will...

    New XJ project, need help

I was thinking about the long arm lift. But I'm not so sure if I really need it. I know it's great and all. But the trails around here wouldn't really require it. I know I'm going to need at least 6 inches of lift. Is the 8.8 a limited slip? And also, what would be easiest to put into the front?

    New XJ project, need help

I'm going to be picking up a '92 Cherokee and actually plan to build trail rig out of this one. I had one a few years ago and people told me that the Wagoneer would be my best bet for axle swaps. Well, I've been having a hell of a time trying to find one. I want to run atleast 35's on this Jeep...

    '95 transmission help *urgent*

I got the 4 banger, I guess I forgot to mention that part. I'm assuming that mine is the AX15 as well? And how did I manage to blow all of them??? If I knew... I'd love to tell ya. I got no clue how it happened.. and the fact that all blew but 4th... while I was in 5th... really really confuses...

    '95 transmission help *urgent*

I blew all the synchros except for 4th last night. Would the transmission out of a '89 with a carbed straight 6 fit in mine? They both are 5 speeds. I need to know soon, before I send the jeep out to get fixed and rack up another huge repair build. Thanks for any help.

    YJ Steering Colum

I got a brand spankin new ignition for my '95 YJ, matches all the locks for my jeep. Problem is, the colum in my jeep now is from a GMC, probably a Sierra. I was getting parts off a '89 and Im pretty sure it had the same colum as mine. The Jeep ignition wont fit inside the GM colum, it sticks...

    '89 and '95 YJ parts

Oh well, like I said, the guy threw it in for free. Not too big of a deal, just got to hunt down a newer Jeep. Only bad thig is I had to bend my 1" wrench to get onto the cable at the T-case. Might come in handy again now, though. Thanks for the info.

    2 Low for np231?

It sounds like a great thing to have. It'd be really nice for most of the trails around here. What are the easiest axles for a swap? I am pretty good at welding, but Im not too terribly sure on how accurate I am. I havent really looked into a shop yet, but Im pretty sure round here, they would...

    2 Low for np231?

Ok, so I just saw I can get the D44's out of a Rodeo and an Old Wagoneer. Do they match up at all? Also, is there anything else I can get a D44 for the front out of? I think a Wagoneer might be a little hard to find around here. And lastly... What would be a good gear ratio for 33's tires? Sorry...

    2 Low for np231?

Thats not too abd at all. I think I got numerous 10mm sockets and split ring pliers kicking around somewhere. Think the 35 is good enough to handle the 2 low? Also, where/what did you get the 44's from? What all did you have to do to get them onto the leafs, weld on new perches? Or is there...

    '89 and '95 YJ parts

The price was a little steep, but I searched for months and that was the only used one in pretty much mint condition I could find. I found a site that sold the frame, seals and glass for arond 300, before shipping. So the 200 isn't too bad, plus like I said, the steel is great and it's already...

    2 Low for np231?

It did sound like it would be a pretty nice option to have. Are you running the Dana 35's? What all is required to get it in there?

    '89 and '95 YJ parts

Well damn, that sucks. Luckily I didnt pay for the tach. I bought the windsheild frame for 200 bucks and the guy threw in the tach, hood latches and the glove box door for free. I know the '89 was carbed, so it wont work, huh? Im not 100% sure whats wrong with mine, the guy I bought it off of...

    '89 and '95 YJ parts

I'm in a endless search of parts for my YJ.... never ending at that. I know the body parts on a '89 will fit my '95 but will the mechanical? I got the tach out of a '89. haven't tried putting it in yet, but I don't see why it wont work. On the '89, the transmission and t-case were just rebuilt...

    2 Low for np231?

I'm looking around for parts for my jeep and saw this mod for the np231 gives you a 2 low. Anyone have this or know anything about it? Is it just like 4 low, only using the rear axle though? Would it be worth buying? Come spring I'm picking up a newly rebuilt transmission and t-case, would it be...
