    REcommendations for shocks and bushings

For the stabilizer, I need one with with a clamp (I have an aftermarket tie rod that does not have the hole). In case of the Bilsteins, any suggestions on where to buy them? As for the bearings, I am getting conflicting information online regarding this... In one site, it says that the Timken...

    REcommendations for shocks and bushings

OK, here's the deal. I had left the Jeep unattended for a while, and I figured it was time to do some maintenance. After greasing, changing oils, oil filters, and the regular tune-up stuff, I rotated the tires. But while doing so, I noticed my wheel bearings are a bit shady (I got wheel...

One million points to whoever can tell me whats wrong

There are a bunch of them around... Just google it. As far as what you need, it depends on what you want to do. You can run the fan with a switch (low speed is enough to keep my 4banger cool even when wheeling), or you can go (at the other end of the spectrum) to a variable speed setup...

95 Jeep Wrangler will not start...No Spark??

My recommendation is the same as above; just buy the sensor from the dealer... Cheap ones WILL fail right out of the box. For the relay, simply swap it with the horn relay. They use the same one.

95 Jeep Wrangler will not start...No Spark??

I would certainly start with the ASD simply because it is easier and cheaper; just swap it with the horn relay in the fuse box under the hood. If that is not it, I would move on to the CPS (Crank Position Sensor) just because it is easier to remove (just 2 bolts). If that is not it, then I...

95 Jeep Wrangler will not start...No Spark??

Dave, Have you checked the Crank Position Sensor? It's on the bottom of the Jeep at the bellhousing (IF I remember correctly). If it is not that, it could also well be your CAM Position Sensor. This one is under the rotor inside the distributor. Now, this is all assuming you have good...

    Windshield Light mount brackets

IIRC, I originally installed the cables going in through the sides, and that caused leaks. Then I ended up going like you (on the bottom side of the seal), and that stopped the leaks... Or was it backwards? I dont really remember... That was about 10 years ago!

    Liner Recommendations?

I just had mine rhino lined... But then again, a friend of mine was the local dealer, so I got a great price on it!

Can one person move a 2 piece hardtop?

I can install mine by myself, but it is not easy. I rather do it with someone else. But if in a pinch, yeah, it can be done. Mine is a pavement ends brand, by the way, but bestops are MUUUUCH better!

    Windshield Light mount brackets

I used windshield light brackets on my YJ. I used the KC ones with KC Daylighters (long range). Never had much problems with light reflecting off the hood. Then I installed a snorkel, and had to relocate the lights, so I went with KC hood hinge mounts. In this case, there IS reflection on...

    bumpers

As for the bumper, I have the Hanson one (note that I have a YJ, not a TJ like yours, but I thikn all 3 of the items I mention work on TJ's as well or have TH versions available). Not cheap, but REALLY good. I like that it is open in the back, which means it is ease to wash the mud off it. I...

What did you do to your Jeep today?

What is that in your hand? A special "lubricant"?... :shades:

    Winch

From the Warn site... "synthetic rope is a great product for many vehicle recovery situations. If you winch a lot and are concerned about weight, synthetic can be a great option since it is lightweight and easy to handle. It doesn't develop sharp burrs like steel rope, and doesn't store as much...

    2000 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 / 6 cyl Auto

First time I also hear of the trans sync device... If I were you, I'd start describing what you mean by this, as I am pretty sure it is not the name Jeep uses (hence, not the name we know that part by). Now, going back to basics, only 3 things can keep an engine from stalling (excluding the...

    Sealing up distributor...do I need a vent?

I have never bothered sealing my distributor, and I have yet to flood it... Mind you, I have gotten the jeep in rivers about 3.5 feet deep, and still, no issues... Anything deeper than that, and I would be more concerned about the current than the depth of the water.

YJ front & rear axle misaligned after2.5" susp lift

Just for your information, eventually, the front relocation bracket is prone to coming loose, so check it after a few thousand miles. In my YJ, I left the rear track bar off, and got me a JKS telescoping track bar for the front. This one you can disconnect when you go wheeling to allow for...

    Winch

I would say it depends; advantages of the rope is that it does not store energy (well, not nearly enough to cause any damage, anyway), is lighter (this is good not only to carry it, but also less weight for the jeep to move around, so less fuel), will not be damaged by twists like cable will...

One million points to whoever can tell me whats wrong

Had this happen to my '94 YJ; try swaping out yout coil. Don't bother with the expensive stuff; my Accel and Peformance Distributor ones did not last long. Cheap ones lasted longer. Mopar lasted the most.

    2.5 to 4.0 motor swap

There was a thread in 4bangerjp.com about this... A fellow member there did the swap, and it turned out not so expensive (cheaper than any other swap) and easier than swaping all his mods to a new Jeep.

    lift kit suggestion

Leafs are simple; I did my 4" lift with my wife in the garage in under a weekend. Coils are a bit more involved (especially if you are moving to a long arm kit), I hear, but I have never done one, so I cannot say from experience...
