fuel filler

On my 1985 cj7 my gas fill is on the left rear. Every other cj7 ive seen has it on the right. Did they make any with the gas fill on left side. It seems that the left rear tail light also had the plate light in it 'if that's the case that set up will not work for me. Anyway im confused as to weather changes have been made to the body. I will have to come up with something different for my plate light.

All i've seen are on the right with the plate on the left. Mount your plate over the filler cap. Mount it on a hinge with a spring.

That should confuse everyone.

What side is your steering wheel on? What country are you in?

It seems as thou the tub has been changed at one time. The gas fill describes a YJ tub. A common swap for old rusted out CJ tubs.

Im in the usa This thing had its share of rust. I think ill do that flip up plate idea that work for me. For all I know it is a yj tub. Thanks for the response.
