AMC 360 w/ an Electric fan

I have a 82 CJ7 with a AMC 360. I have an upgraded aluminum radiator, high flow water pump and standard belt driven fan. I would like to upgrade to an electric fan and have seen that the ford Taurus fan fits some jeeps. My question is will a Taurus fan pull enough air for the V-8? Right now the temp stays right at 200 deg. whether I am wheeling or highway driving. Thanks for the information in advance.

Taurus double fan or Dodge Intrepid with 3.5L or Pontiac Montana (I forget what other models use the same fan setup)

What exhaust are you running?

that taurus fan swap is very popular in the old hott rod scene. lots of guys use it in tons of v8 set ups

The exhaust setup is stock manifolds to duals out in front of the rear tires. It is true dual exhaust.

Sometimes the cats get clogged and back heat up in the motor and make the head gaskets pop.

The electric fan off a 02 GC is what i'm using on mine with an adjustable thermostat switch from Napa auto parts.
