The lights in a 1977 CJ5 do not match up with the more modern replacement gauge. The socket is different and the new bulb is smaller. How do I get this thing to light up? Original has a orange wire with a socket and bulb. New has two male connectors. What do they connect to. Orange and find a ground?

Yes........ The older socket was single wire (self grounding).
