DARPA Urban Challenge

I for one welcome our robotic driverless overloards.

That would certainly take the thrill out of turning 16.
My father bought a new car recently that has the most advanced gadgets I have ever seen in a car. It's a Lexus and has the ability to parallel park itself. It's got sensors front and rear and a built in back up camera. When you engage the park function, the sight picture comes up on the screen on the dash. There is a red box you touch and drag to where you want it to park the car. Then hit the button and take your foot off the brake and it steers and drives itself in there. Craziness I tell you.
I still haven't figured out how the automatic wipers know when the windshield is wet, not to mention How wet it is to make the wipers speed up or slow down. Too much tech for me.
