My 89 XJ has problems starting, i have been told to replace the Fuel pressure regulator. I'll hop into it after it sitting for 5 minutes 5 hours or 5 months, it doesnt seem to matter i have to hold the key cranking on it for a good 6 to 8 seconds. any input is appreciated.

Thanks

6 seconds doesn't sound bad for a renix 4.0L. The PCM has to detect the proper signal from many sensors before it will allow the jeep to start.
