how do i determin which axle ratio i have, it's a 1994 grand cherokee limited with the 5.2 v8 and rear disc brakes

There should be a metal tag attached to the diff cover by two of the diff cover bolts. The first three numbers on either the 1st or 2nd line will be the gear ratio, like 3 73 for 3.73 gears, 3 55, 3 07, and so on.

If you can't find a tag, safely support the rear tires off the ground. Spin a rear tire by hand and count the revolutions of the driveshaft per 1 revolution of the tire. Exactly 3 1/2 turns of the driveshaft would be 3.55 gears and so on. Let us know what you find.

another easy way is to get the VIN number and call the local jeep dealer, they can look it up and tell you
