The rear drive line connected to my transfer case is on a bind it looks like it looks l ike its to high and i dont know how to get it back into alinment because i have a 4inch suspension lift it looks off and it just barley snapped the chain inside of my transfer case so i replaced it and now i need to know how to make it so the transfer case isnt up so high in the car cause it just gets higher on a bind when i put on the skid plate. and it makes a noise like a knock so i got out and had someone go slow back and forward and i can see that it is the drive shaft. the drive shaft is in good condition its just not sitting right inside of the transfer case. i can send a picture of it. please help me out here im a young mechianic and i love my jeep. They make a transfer case lowering kit for most Jeeps that would probably do the trick. Really though with a four inch lift you should spend the money on a CV driveshaft. Tom Woods are the best but expensive. I think they are about $300.

Couple things. The pinion angle doesn't look bad, but it looks like you need to lower the transfer case and add a little length to the rear driveshaft. You need a transfer case lowering kit if you don't already have one, it's a must on a 4" lift without a SYE conversion.

Check out the silver section on the slipyoke, this is the portion that used to be inside the tailcone before the lift. That's how much the slipyoke has slid out of the transfer case due to the lift. A 1" TC drop may correct that.

Who rebuilt the transfer case for you?

Thanks for the help. I opened up my rear differental and the pinon and the ring had be peices broke off in hugh hunks out of the ring so now i gotta replace thos
