Stupid brake question

I have a 77-7 with out power brakes. I use it as a daily driver and at this rate my right leg will be twice the size of my left in 2 more weeks.

So here's the question. How hard is it to swap to power brakes? Is it as easy as swapping the master cylinder?

have to buy a brake booster/master upgrade kit, but as far as i know its not that hard, have to add a vacuum line to your intake but you should have some sort of vacuum tree that you can tap into but idk for sure, never done it. But i know people do it to a lot of different types of vehicles and the only real difference in power and non power is the booster.

No kit needed, just find any booster from a CJ. you will have to punch the holes inteh fire wall, but they are clearly ID'ed by indentations. you can reuse your old master. I've done the swap plenty of times. Not sure on teh years, but early YJ boosters and masters can be used as a bolt in application.

in the end, any master adnbooster from any vehicle will work, just depends how crafty you are

they also have high performance booster and master upgrade kits, depending on how much brake boost you want, im looking at getting some brake upgrades for my YJ, the bigger and heavier the tires the harder they are to get to stop turning! lol

upgrading the booster to a "bigger" booster is kinda over kill, you really want to improve your braking, swap the master out. I run a 1986 E350 master, the diaphrma bore size is almost twice what a stock YJ is you will neeed to drill out the mounting holes and grind the ears down, but it will eventually bolt on. will take soem trouble shooting to get the plunger set just right but with 37" tires from 60mph, I can stop better than stock (I also have 3/4 ton truck calipers so that helps as well) I could lock them up if I wanted to no problem.
