throttle bodys

So I wrecked my 97 Cherokee. Bought a 93 and both the throttle position sensor and map sensor are bad on the 93. I know the plugs are different but could a little wiring be done to swap the larger bore throttle body from my 97 that has the map sensor on it to the 93?

It's the same size TB if they're both 4.0L engines.

You can use the '97 TB if you put a vacuum cap on the MAP sensor port, then replace the MAP on the firewall with a new sensor.

I wouldn't be able to use the map sensor and electrical plug from the 97 tb and splice it to the 93s wiring? Then cap the the intake manifold

You would have to look at the wiring of each, and hope the sensors operate the same. I'd say chances are slim since one is OBD I design and the other is OBD II. Lots of changes between the two.

A replacement for the '93 runs $25-$45 at Rock Auto.

Yeah I know prices. I was hoping I could get away with spending next to nothing but I guess ill just have to fork it out.. I looked at all of it today and I don't think itl work.. so... Tax returns are comming
