Rear sway bar link rubbing

Im trying to fit a couple 31x10.50's on the back of my 88 XJ. I installed a 2'' block lift so they would clear but now my sway bar link instead of sitting down inside the rim is sitting up beside the tire, and of course the 31's are so wide they'll rub on the link. Will it be ok to remove the rear swar bar completely? Or does anybody have any suggestions as to how I can fix this problem without removing the sway bar?

I removed mine. Most didnt come with one. Only certain packages. I had the same problem. You could always run a 1.25 " spacer but I'm not a big fan of them.

You can remove the rear swaybar with no problem.
