01 Cherokee with leak in heater core

I have an 01 Cherokee the heater core leaks on the passenger side floor. I am wondering how difficult it is to change the core or if there is a quick way to seal up the leak. I have heard many horror stories about how much work goes into changing one. And how much it would cost to have someone do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Removal of the instrument panel would be the best way to repair the leaking heater core. Stop leak will only be a bandaid and is bad for the cooling system overall in the long run.

Absolutely. Since the pressure builds up as the fluid reaches the boiling point, a pin hole is sufficient enough to let the fluid leak out and as the pressure decreases, it will pull air in to the system.
