High Output Alternator?

I just did the TFI upgrade to my 79 CJ7 258. Thinking about doing the Blazer motor upgrade soon. It sounds like my alternator will have a hard time keeping up with that combo, lights, etc. I have no clue what amp range I need if I get one of these high output deals. I see 100, 135, 160, 180 as options out there. I want to keep cost down, if I do actually go through with this. What rating should I get? I saw those rebuild kits to raise the output at JCW, but it says that it will lower the output at idle, which I don't want.

lets talk air compressors

I have been running the JCWhitney for a bout a year and haven't had any problems. It is a pretty complete kit. So far my Alt light hasn't flickered at idle like they say . You might give it a try.

also try looking into mean green alternators.

I ran the JCW high amp rebuild in my 'ole YJ, no problems.
