Exhaust/header wrap?

Would it be beneficial to wrap the factory manifolds and exhaust on my 95 4.0L YJ? Or wrap a header if I replace the manifold? Just looking for a way to cool down the motor further, let me know what you guys think. Thanks, Lane

I used header wrap in my old YJ that had a 350 and headers. Never had a problem with it, got it from www.jcw.com . Go for it, easiest to do before you install it.

It keeps the heat in the tube and therefore goes out the tailpipe versus filling up your engine compartment. Like Bounty said it's easier to do with the manifold off. You wrap the material then tie it with some thin gauge wire. Works like a charm.
Summit Racing also has the stuff.

Keeps the engine bay cooler, and is said to allow the exhaust gases to escape the exhaust quicker by keeping the heat in the exhaust. The JCWhitney rolls I bought were finished off with hose clamps, looked good on the 350 shorty headers.
