Mild JK Build
Fitted up a Rugged Ridge style snorkel to my JK, I say style as it was an eBay purchase yet is badged “Rugged Ridge”, highly doubt that with the price. I knew I was probably going to have some struggles fitting it with my fenders and I did. I got it all on and functional but when it’s warmer I will go in and tweak on it till I’m happy with fender and hood gaps.

Re: Mild JK Build
I switched out my rubicon rock sliders for these side steps. My wife said she wanted steps before Jeep Beach 2024.

Re: Mild JK Build
Switched up my front bumper, I have a project coming up that requires the winch to be mounted lower. I picked up a Bestop High Rock bumper a few months ago and ordered a Rugged Ridge Tactik winch mount (as I can?t find the Bestop one anywhere). Finally had the free time to get it installed.

Re: Mild JK Build
Looks great. You will enjoy lower eng temps with the winch lower and more out of the way.
Note in your pics with the front end off you could see in the radiator where the pillars in the grill line up.

Re: Mild JK Build
Thank you!
Yes, I definitely wanted to get the winch lower as it made me nervous but I feel the hood vent has done it?s job very well.

Re: Mild JK Build
Blocking the radiator cannot be overcome by hood vent unless your vent is pushing more air through the radiator.
Many people look at their winch and see 2-3 inches between it and the grill and don?t think of that as blocking. But at or above 30 mph the air pressure pushed enough air through the radiator with nothing in front that an electric fan will not kick on to cool. With 30% blockage the fan runs even at 60 mph.
This was my experience. When I added the electric fan I thought I had an issue cause it only ran while I was at a red light. The. I noticed it kicked on at 25 mph and shut off. But above 30 ish it stays off.

Re: Mild JK Build
Scored some super cheap Poison Spyder rear inner fenders?they weren?t shipped with the correct hardware?no big deal what I didn?t have on hand cost me less than $3 so I?m $78 into a $373 dollar set of inners.
My buddy who does wiring was over with his new mobile wiring setup and I talked him to wiring up my sub. I went with a Pyle sub to match the rest of the speakers. Next step will be a backup camera as the radio we installed last March supports it.

Re: Mild JK Build
Got my free light bar mounted up over the weekend. When I got the bumper the guy I bought it from tossed in a bunch of extra stuff, including the light bar. My buddy wired it up (he?s way better at wiring than I am. I haven?t progressed past the heat up pre-soldered connectors?)

Re: Mild JK Build
I was getting tired of all the scratches in my hard top and a previous owner tried to touch up a panel so it was various shades of black. I decided I wanted to repaint it, I wanted to be a bit different so I went with Commando Green, a 2013 JK color.

Updated my JK door handles, I like the pull style handle as opposed to the standard push button. I?ve seen these online and wanted to try them. I will update this if I have any issues with them.

Re: Mild JK Build
My wife got me these for my birthday as she wanted the fronts to match the rears. Got the passenger side trimmed around the snorkel and made up a little angle bracket to snug it down.
