hey the carb-sol vac is that funny plunger assembly on the side of the carb, how do you adjust it and what does it do

If it is like the carter on my 88 258, those two hoses on the side of the carb run to the canister located on the right side of the engine compartment below your brake booster and overflow/windshield bottles

Yeah I read that, and spending some more time doing diagnostics im fairly sure i not only have a bad egr vacuum diaphragm but also a burned valve. I can suck air through the vacuum line running to the egr at idle which i think is contributing to the fast idle even though my mixture is good...

Hey does anyone know where the MCU is located or more specifically where the high altitude jumper is. The chilton's manual says the jumper should be located next to the MCU but I cant seem to find out where that is. Also, anyone know of any good things to jumper it with? Thanks
