i agree with bounty hunter. sister has a 89 wrangler she put on the posi-lock. it does away with the vacum switch for the front axle

they do make a grand cherokee (forgive spelling) with the hemi in it. with a 180 mph speedometer. i used to spell better before mind altering drugs

have you adjusted the float? there are preset but there is always a little bit of adjustment to do.

what year of cj-5 do you have?

we put a posi-lok system on my sister's 89 yj now she loves it and she knows it is in gear.

i wouldn't put nitrous on a jeep if you get stuck you would be tempted to use it then you will break something.

your pump might be going bad. have someone turn the wheel back and forth while you watch it. it might be a cracked line.

the transmission you have if its stock is a 999tf with a 231 transfercase. Sister 89 4.2L has that in it. also depends on 4cyl or 6 cyl right now we are doing a bumper to bimper wiring harness on the damn thing.

my sisters had a leak on the shifter part where it goes into the transmission that little felt washer was bad. it could be the front or rear seal.

flexplate to torque converter bolts. engine to transmission bolts busted motor mount that is all i can think of right now.

now me personally i would stay with the Jeep parts i feel the same about my Scout no chevy motors. but my friend Scott has his own ideas.

okay i think we have it figured out now 4.3 v-6 th350 auto transmission with a dana 18 transfer case all we need is the adapterplate for the transfer case then we are in business. does that sound like a good combo.
