    12 volt problems

    I'm joe blow a weekend mechanic having a harness problem wonder if some one can tell me how much voltage goes to all dash gauges checking the output at the wires going to the gauges is 12 volts I'm told that's too much voltage it blow the gauge? Any help is very much appreciated!
